In 1850, prior to the Civil War, The Hoskin's family acquired over 1000 acres and then handed the property down for 155 years from parents to children. Over time much of that original holding was sold off to others and in 2005 the Hoskin's family of this generation sadly decided it was time to sell what was the "heart" of the farm. You can still see the Hoskins family cemetery overlloking the Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah Valley. The O'Reilly family then took up the story and have added lovely vacation rentals and renamed it as Rolling River Farm.
